The simple solution to a major cat owner problem

I’m a person of cleanliness. But having to balance work, Uni and home chores.. Is a bit overwhelming. You have to take something off. Or so I thought.

That’s me. In the picture.

My name’s Charlotte and these two babies in my arms are called Hazel and Maya. Aren’t they cute?

Anyways, these guys are the source of my day-to-day joy and happiness. I’ve had Maya ever since my 17th birthday celebration, and me and my family picked up Hazel about half a year later from the local shelter. Fell in love with them as soon as I got to hold them into my arms. Didn’t even receive a scratch!

Couple of years later, a little problem arose the last day before summer. Finishing school meant two things...

Good news – I got to go to my favourite Uni I’ve always dreamed about! Ye-yeeah!

Bad news... Going to Uni mean’t I have to move out and live by myself in my own rented flat.

And the thing about landlords is... some of them are a little… over the top.

I moved into this place that had crazy expensive, baroque dated furniture and lightning. The landlord warned me that if anything happened to the furniture, I would be kicked out without any further notice. Talk about harsh...

I remembered the sofa at mom’s... The cats completely destroyed it.. Not that we cared at the time – the sofa wasn’t expensive and stood in an alternate room that’s not the living room.

But I knew for sure – If these two see something they can sink their claws in ... They will.

So I panicked. I was absolutely lost at what I should do.

Before giving up, I decided to call my friend Joanne for help…

You will not believe what she told me!

“Just put on a sofa cover! He won’t even realise you have pets after you take it off!”, she said.

...I was hesitant.

I thought about that option previously, but..

Most of the sofa cover I had seen we’re so ugly and completely ruined the overall decor with their over-the-top design..

Also, not to mention, they looked like they won’t be able to survive more than one duel against my little kitten’s claws.

Most looked bad, smelled bad and overall didn’t do the job they we’re supposed to do.

But then, while browsing online...

I found something that changed my expectations of what a sofa cover can be completely.

The company was called Coverlastic.

I checked out a couple of positive reviews, and decided to take the plunge and order one of their golden-brown spandex-lycra cover versions.

And oh my god… was it worth it.

Finally!!

No more worries about my cats ruining the furniture. For the first time after settling in, I could let them hop on to the sofa, knowing certainly that I’m not going to have to pay hundreds of $$$ for a million scratches they’ve made.

Not to mention, I could also stop being afraid of hosting a couple of parties without worrying about spills or stains. After the party I would just take off the cover, wash it, and voila – back to new in 30 minutes.

Also, it smells great because of it’s deodorant finish. Not only did it make me stop worrying about spilling something on the sofa while watching a movie with my SO, but it also made cleaning ten times easier and way less painful.

Even If you don’t have a pet who wreaks havoc in your day-to-day…

This cover will make your life easier. Sounds cheesy. But it really does help. A lot.

If you’re the kind of person, that needs their surroundings to be perfectly clean to function properly, but can’t really dedicate so much time to cleaning as you’d want…

….or perhaps you identify yourself as a clumsy mess and are absolutely sure you’ll spill that Pepsi on your sofa while watching Stranger things..

….or if you’ve got kids (you know what I mean).

I’ve long finished Uni, still using it 5 years later, don’t even want to think about how much stress and panicking it prevented me from having. One of the best. investments. of. my. life. I sound like a cheesy salesman but it’s true! hahaha
